Valentines.

Well Happy Valentines Day to EVERYONE!

My Valentines day start out at 4:30 this morning with a call from my husband!!!!!!!! You have no idea how excited I was to finally hear his voice.

What a difference it makes hearing from him.

Now the rest of my day will be spent with Makena and Mason out in Palm Springs!

We got here yesterday afternoon after spending most of the morning in the snow about 20 minutes from palm springs, I am not sure exactly where we were, but the Makena LOVED the snow! It was her first time. Which totally boggles my mind, since its always around somewhere in Spokane!

I am super excited for next month because these people are coming down and someone is going to celebrate her 4Th birthday down here with me!!!!!!!! Holy cow I can't believe she is going to be 4!

I am pretty excited for more family to come and visit me in nice and WARM sunny California!!!! Not to rub it in or anything!!!!!

Well I am off to play with the kids and have fun in Palm Springs!!!!

My First Sunday...

Today was my first Sunday by myself and in a new ward.
It was interesting. I sat by my self, which I think was the hardest part of the whole thing. The opening song made me start to tear up, but I am very proud of my self for not letting the tears come out, since the people in my ward don't know me yet! That might have been a little weird.
But 2Nd and 3rd hour were good. I think I might actually like this ward. There was a girl that introduced her self to me a couple of weeks ago and knew that Deric would be gone, so she made it a point to come find me and ask me how I was doing. I enjoyed that and am very thankful to her for asking me that today.
To keep me some what busy when I get home from work, I have been writing in a journal that is all about how I am feeling during this deployment. Its actually been very helpful to write it down . Here is some of the things I was thinking about the 1st full day Deric was gone:
January 14Th
I used Derics shampoo. I miss his smell. I also changed the sheets today, which was super hard to do. It was nice to be able to still have his scent in the bed. I miss his silly jokes and him making fun of me. I miss him playing the Wii and getting frustrated with his cabelas hunting game, not knowing what animal he is supposed to be hunting. I miss him leaving the lights on and me having to go turn them ALL off before we leave, which he is putting them back on just to get me angry. I even miss the Mt. Dew bottles ALL over the house, which in all honestly used to drive me NUTS. I miss kicking him in the middle of the night and waking up to tell him sorry. I miss the cereal bowls, his alarm going off at odd hours of the morning, I miss hearing him come up the stairs and ringing the door bell before he comes in the house. Every little thing that he does, that used to bug me I miss. I feel like I didn't get enough time with him as my husband before he left. He is going to be gone longer than we have been married. Which totally sucks.
My crying comes in waves. Its weird. At sometimes I am super strong and don't cry, but then I see something of his that we didn't put away before he left, like his pillow, or his mt dew bottle that he was drinking in the car on the way down to base. Its the little things.
Ranya has been a huge support to me and I hope to her. It has been very hard on her as well. We have decided to make a specific night each week to go to the temple, and another night of the week to go see movies. Get us into a regular schedule and that way we have something to look forward to at the end of the day.

Its getting easier each day. It is easier now that Deric is able to call me and text me while he is in Japan. I don't know how it will be when he is on the boat or when he is in Thailand. It will be interesting to see the level of communication we will be able to have. I am not really looking forward to him being away from Japan. Just for communication purposes.
But to keep myself busy I have been making these adorable baby accessories. Trying at least. I have sold a couple with the held of Annette, the lady I nanny for. I am so glad I found them. They have been a huge part in me being able to keep it together while Deric is gone. The kids are fun and keep me busy all day. Makena is 4 and loves Deric to pieces. Every day she asks me how he is doing and even loves to talk to him when he calls. So here are some pictures of the things I have been keeping my self busy with. Enjoy!

Finally My Birthday

I finally found my upload cord to my camera!
Here are some pictures from my birthday at Disneyland. We live about 5 minutes from there, so we decided we should go since they tease us almost every night with being able to see their fireworks!
Enjoy the pictures!

I got Minnie Ears and He got a Captain Hat. We look thrilled because we were waiting in like for almost 2 hours for Space Mountain.

I wish this picture turned out, because Jack Sparrow is behind him. This is by FAR Derics favorite ride! Pirates of the Caribbean.

Pictures!

I was going through my picture today, looking for some good ones to print out and send to Deric. I am making him a pretty cool scrapbook with pictures of family members and places for him to put letters from everyone while he is over seas.
I decided to put some pictures up here. Since I really have not posted anything in a while!

This is Deric and I on the 4Th of July at this dads wedding. I love him and am missing him like crazy! Its hard not being with him everday.

This was the best Halloween EVER! I finally convinced my dad to dress up and sit outside and scare the kids that come by!
A group of teenage boys walked by and got totally scared. One of the boys dared another to go and touch dad. When the boy got close, dad reved up the chain saw! I have never seen teenage boys run so fast or scream so loud! IT WAS AWESOME! Thanks Dad for an awesome Halloween!

This is one of my best friends. Lauren Jones! I actually met her on Myspace before I moved to Sacramento. I searched for an LDS girl within 20 miles of my zip code and she was the 1st one to pop up! I emailed her and told her my story. She emailed me back a couple weeks later and the rest is history! Thanks MYSPACE for a great best friend!
She helped me so much while I lived in Sacramento and is one of my very best friends!
She is pregnant with her first baby and so sick! Just wanted to let her know I love you tons and am so thankful for her friends!!!!

My sister Katie and I, in Seattle a couple of summers ago! I love going to Pike Street Market and drag my family a long with me! We got those awesome flowers for dang cheap and took TONS of pictures that day with them! So much fun! Thanks for being an awesome sister and going a long with what I always wanted to do when I come visit you! Now that I live in Cali we can do things you want to do here! hahaha

Anna Banana! I love her! This was on her 6Th birthday! She had a red polka dot birthday! It was super cute! She is so much fun and just dang funny!

If anyone wants address or emails or anything to get a hold of him just email me at jenna.molner@gmail.com

I will post more during the week when I get the Internet on my computer and I don't have to use the apartments anymore.

Marine Corps Ball

Last night was the annual Marine Birthday Party. or in other words the Marine Corps Ball.
It was fun. It was a huge banquet with a very good 4 course meal and some speakers and a lot of dancing.
It was fun to get all dressed up and go out with people.

These are our friends. Roger and Ranya on my right and her little sister Ruth from England came out to go with our friend Levi.

I love Deric in his uniform! He doesn't get to wear his dress blue's very often, so its fun when he does! and heck I never get to wear fancy dresses anymore. and yes that is my prom dress from almost 4 years ago! hahah I was so proud of my self for FINALLY fitting into it.

We were super tired! It was a long night.

On Halloween our ward had a really super fun activity! Sarah Palin(Megan) showed up and just HAD to get a picture with the Marines.
In our ward we are refereed to as the "Marines". Its pretty funny.
Our ward is awesome and there are a lot of really fun people. A lot of young married couples which is a lot of fun for us.

We are doing great here in Irvine! I start working full time Monday the 1st and am super excited. The family is awesome, and they are going to keep me very busy while Deric is deployed.
We have the Marine Corps Ball tomorrow night and I will hopefully remember to take a lot of pictures.
By the way. TWILIGHT comes out this Friday. We aren't going to the opening at midnight but we are trying to get in soon. If you haven't started to read Twilight yet, you should. Its so fun and is written very. Such a good escape. I am re-reading the 1st book!!!! So go get it. My mom is even listening to them on tape from the Library!!!
