10 months.

really? 10 months already. I really has flown by. I think I say that every month, but this one is very special for me at least! This is the last anniversary that I have to spend alone. THE LAST ONE!

Deric has always done a wonderful job about texting me or calling if he gets the chance on the 26th of every month to say that he loves me. But he totally out did himself this month. He bought me some beautiful flowers. He bought me flowers while he is sitting in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Australia. I have an amazing husband. He never ceases to amaze me and always lets me know that he loves me and is thinking about me!!flowers 009

Hopefully only 3 more weeks till he is home! I can’t wait! and 1 month till we move into our new place! I have to stay its a little bitter sweet to be moving. I am very excited to be getting into a bigger apartment because our little 1 bedroom 700 square foot apartment is a little small, but it was our first place together. It holds some good memories. I am excited to get into our 2 bedroom for the space and the extra room for guests and hopefully some time soon for it to be a baby room. Change is good!

The Other Half

I thought I might give little insight as to what the other half of the Molner couple has been up to for the last few months. The blog seems a little one sided, mostly because it is, my bad. Anyway I have been in Okinawa Japan, woah, cool, how neat, what an experience,(just figured I would get those out of the way for you) for the last 7 1/2 months. Not really all that exciting, when your here for this long. It was cool when we first got here and everything was new to us, but now i just really want to go home. The best part is they have been teaching me to drive on the wrong side of the road for the last several months because everything is backwards over here.(look out cali im comin home soon) Since I have been here I have gone to Thailand, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo, and Australia. That part of the deployment was fun, minus the ship ride there. I would put pictures up of the places I have been but the military frowns on us putting personal pictures on their computers, so I will put some up when I get home for everyone to see. Thailand was fun it is amazing to see how much of a difference there is in our cultures. Everywhere we went though the people were friendly so that made everything more enjoyable. Tokyo was a blast except i didnt see any street racing or drifting anywhere im starting to question that movie now. Either way it was fun to be there. Australia so far has been fun except we didnt get to do the things we really wanted to. Apparently Wrestling kangaroos is not looked highly upon, so we settled for feeding them. We didnt get to go snorkeling either which was a mjaor bummer that was the one thing i really wanted to do, but as i have learned the military is not big on having fun, its the wierdest thing. I am down to just over a month left. The deployment has gone by way faster than i thought which is good. I cant wait to get home to my beautiful wife. I will actually get to meet all her friends shes made at church since i have been gone. Its going to feel like a family reunion when i get home everyone will know me and i will just walk around smiling like i have a clue. It will be fun though. I got to go to church over here with Roger. Being able to go to church every sunday was amazing even when we didnt go to church Roger and I would Do sacrament together. It was amazing feeling the spirit like that. I cant wait to go to the temple with Jenna and just spend time with her. She is the most amazing woman in the world. I am the luckiest man alive to have her in my life.

J. E. W.

Dad wears this tie tack almost every Sunday. J.E.W. My grandpas initials. James Ebra Wilson. He gets a lot of questions about it, which I love hearing my Dad respond with “Its my fathers initials.” Im not sure about the story behind the tie tack but I know that my Dad wears it with pride every sunday.

The past couple of weeks I have had the overwhelming feeling of going to Grandpa’s grave. Deric and I first went to see it back in November. It was the very first time I had ever been there, and I think the 1st time in a good 20 years that ANYONE has been there. I am very sad to say that I didn’t listen to those promptings to go up there. I so should have listened. I finally called my mom today and asked her when Grandpa Wilsons birthday and death day were. They were last week. That is why I got the prompting that I needed to go visit. James Ebra Wilson was born on July 1st 1898. and died on July 6th 1952. Those dates were both last week.

Growing up I always wanted to know more about my Dads parents, my grandparents. I loved hearing my Dad talk about Grandpa and what a hard working man he was. I loved seeing old movies on the family room wall of Grandpa standing there helping my dad as a 2 or 3 year old boy get on a horse or seeing grandpa feeding an animal. He was a SUPER tall handsome man. I have always wondered what it would be like to have both Grandpa and Grandma Wilson alive today. What would they be like? Would I make them proud? Those are questions that I still ask my self. I know for a fact that I will see both of them again someday and that I will get to hug them and ask them those questions. and that I can tell my Grandpa that I am so sorry for not visiting his grave more often when I do live so close. I am excited and look forward to the day when I can throw my arms around them and tell them how much I love them.

My dad was 5 years old when grandpa died. I am sure that my grandpa is very proud of the man that my dad turned out to be. Dad has lived a hard life. But turned everything into something positive and moved on with his life in amazing way. I have the best example of a father. Nothing has kept him from his goals and aspirations. and heck raising 8 kids for 40 years that is one HUGE accomplishment. My best memories of dad is when he used to take me outside and play catch with me and practice on my form and teach me how to hit a ball farther and harder. or when he would go on bike rides with me, or going for Sunday drives up in the saltese flats to count the deer. Or sitting outside under the awning of the roof so we wouldn’t get wet during a really good thunder and lightning storm. or play all kinds of card games. or going for hikes up in Liberty Lake and making it ALL THE WAY to the falls, so that we could walk over the water on the fallen log. My dad is the hardest working man I know. He is up by 4:30 every morning, goes to work and comes home around 5 and out working on his “salsa" garden. Making sure there are NO weeds or bugs ruining his plants. He is amazingly crafty with metal and can make amazing trucks and buses and 18 wheelers out of scrap metal just by looking at a picture. He never ceases to amaze me. Yes we have had our many disagreements but he is the most amazing man. Thank you for joining the church Dad and for raising me in the Gospel and not giving up on me!!! I love you for it!

I run to you.

I run from hate
I run from prejudice
I run from pessimists
But I run too late
I run my life
Or is it running me
I Run from my past
I run too fast
Or too slow it seems
When lies become the truth
That's when I run to you
[Chorus]
This world keeps spinning faster
Into a new disaster so I run to you
I run to you baby
And when it all starts coming undone
Baby you're the only one I run to
I run to you
We run on fumes
Your life and mine
Like the sands of time
Slippin' right on through
And our love's the only truth
That's why I run to you

This song gets me every single time I hear it. It is on repeat in my car. I love that there is a song about having that special person in your life that you can run to when everything is in shambles. I also love that it states that our love’s the only truth that’s why I run to you. i could not have said it any better. This world is spinning faster to a new disaster and I feel safer and more comfort in this world knowing that I will be sharing eternity with my wonderful husband. No matter what goes on in this world I can always run to Deric. How comforting is that to know! Helps me everyday.

I love having a song that I can TOTALLY relate to, and that has a such great message. Even the video makes me tear up! I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do.
