We moved!!!!!!!!

Our good friends here in Scottsdale were moving to Alabama with the military. So we were lucky enough to be able to rent their house! We couldn’t be more excited to be living in a HOUSE! Diesel loves having a hard, and we love not having neighbors above below or RIGHT next door.

Diesel thinks that is is his room. besides at night when he has to sleep with us. DSCN0168master bathDSCN0163guest bathDSCN0164master bedroom

It’s the perfect size for us and we just love it!

We have been doing some remodeling in the back yard! Its gonna take a while but it will look so good when we are done.DSCN0142DSCN0143DSCN0144DSCN0145DSCN0147DSCN0150DSCN0151DSCN0152We took out the two big shrubs on the right side of the yard. we also took out the big huge green monster that was taking over the left side of the raised bed and I started to get the soil on the right side of the raised bed ready for a garden. Can’t wait to get it finished so we can enjoy it!

Soaring to New Heights

(I have been trying to post this for a good 2 weeks now, sorry so late)

I had the opportunity to go to our church Girls Camp . Each year our church puts on an amazing camp for girls ages 12-18. I went when I was young and it was the highlight of my summer.

It is definitely a way different experience going as a leader, but I had a blast and got a lot more out of it than I thought I would.

Our theme was Soaring to New Heights that went a long with the Church Wide Young Women's theme of ‘Arise and Shine Forth”.

I was in charge of about 9 girls along with 1 other leader from our ward.

My girls were amazing. I am lucky enough to teach the 12-13 year olds every Sunday at church, but it was so much fun to get to know some of the older girls as well and get to know them not in a church setting, but out in a completely different setting.

Funny story- The first night I heard what I thought was someone eating a snack around 430 am. Tried to see what the girl was doing, but got no answer. So I decided to investigate my self and see what was going on. I grabbed my phone and used it as a flash light. I found nothing but the sound didn’t seem to stop.

Later in the afternoon I found the source of the noise. a little mouse decided our cabin was the perfect place for his home and was trying to eat a girls snacks. I found a little hole chewed through a bag of flaming Cheetos.

Later that night we told the girls to put ALL their snacks away so the mouse wouldn’t come back.

As we were getting into bed one of the girls screamed mouse and as you can imagine we didn’t get much sleep that night. To get the girls to calm down we had to move all the bunk beds into the middle of the room so that the mouse wouldn’t be able to climb up the metal beds. It worked and around 2 that morning everyone was asleep.

The last day of girls camp is the best! We were able to do a couple ropes courses and the girls were able to do a zip line which was the highlight of most of their days.

Later that night the Bishops from all the wards come up and the girls put on some cheers for them and then the Bishops do a little devotional for the girls. This year I decided it would be perfect timing for all the parents to write letters to their daughters. The girls loved them and most came back teary eyed.

Its so sweet to see the girls testimonies grow and to see how amazing they are to each other and to others in the camp.

The very last thing we did as a whole camp was to release balloons. We each thought of something that we needed to get rid of in our lives. the girls and leaders all wrote something on a piece of paper and we released our balloons. It was an amazing and beautiful experience.

Camp all together is a beautiful experience. I really hope that my girls got out of it as much as I did.

Jones Family

I got to go to Sacramento to visit with my best friend Lauren! I have known her for about 7 years now, crazy how times flies. I met her before I moved to Sacramento in 2005. She’s awesome. I love her to death!

She has a super cute family and just had a new baby and I went to really see Him. We went up to the Sacramento Temple and took some pictures before it started raining!
